Three Midvale Servos on Morrison Road Sit 25 Cents Apart After Perth's Wednesday Lift
Right, so it's Wednesday in Perth, and that means the big brands have had their weekly lift. If you're filling up around Midvale or Midland today, have a squiz at how far apart the servos have ended up.
As of 30th Sep 2026 2:02pm AEST (just after midday in Perth), there are three servos within a few doors of each other on Morrison Road in Midvale. Atlas Fuel at number 227 is asking 226.7 a litre for unleaded. BP 2go at 228 is on 245.9, and the Caltex at 232 is on 251.9. That's 25.2 cents a litre between servos a short walk apart.
Yesterday those same three were on 223.9, 225.9 and 227.9. Four cents covered the lot.
What happened overnight
Here's the thing, right. Western Australia servos set one price for the whole day and lodge it with FuelWatch ahead of time, so the Wednesday lift lands all at once.
Around Midland the majors went up by 20 to 26 cents overnight. Ampol Foodary Midvale on Great Eastern Hwy and Ampol Foodary Stratton both went from 223.9 to 249.9. 7 Eleven Midland on Clayton St and 7 Eleven Middle Swan went from 225.9 to 249.9. BP Woodbridge went from 227.9 to 249.9, Caltex Midvale from 227.9 to 251.9, and BP 2go on Morrison Road from 225.9 to 245.9.
Metro Midvale on Farrall Rd didn't move at all. It's on 222.2 today, same as yesterday, which makes it the cheapest servo in Midvale by 4.5 cents. Nightowl Shell Bellevue held at 229.9 as well. Atlas went up 2.8 cents and Petro Fuels Swan View went up 8.
Fair dinkum, Metro Midvale and Caltex Midvale are 29.7 cents a litre apart today, and they're in the same suburb.
It happens every week
The majors bottom out on a Tuesday, lift on the Wednesday, then ease back over the next few days. The official price history for these servos shows the same shape each week.
Take Ampol Foodary Midvale. It was 217.9 on Tuesday 15th Sep, then 243.9 on the Wednesday. On Tuesday 22nd Sep it was 219.9, then 247.9. Tuesday just gone it was 223.9, and today it's 249.9. The cheap day and the dear day have both crept up a few cents each week.
Metro Midvale doesn't play along. Over the same fortnight it moved a few cents at a time, anywhere between 207.9 and 229.2, and never got near the majors' Wednesday price. Last Wednesday it sat 24.7 cents under the 249.9 servos. Today it's 27.7 under.
Where to fill up around Midland today
There are 37 servos within about 8 kilometres of Midland with an unleaded price today. Fifteen of them are asking 249.9 or 251.9, and eleven are under 230.
The cheapest is Burk Bassendean on Guildford Rd at 219.3. After that it's Metro Midvale and Metro Bassendean on 222.2, Shell High Wycombe on 222.5 and Burk West Swan on 223.3. Closer to Midland, the Atlas sites at Midvale and Stratton are both on 226.7, and Nightowl Shell Bellevue on Great Eastern Hwy is on 229.9.
What it means for your wallet

If you're running low today, skip the 249.9 sites and head for one of the independents above. If you've still got a bit in the tank, keep an eye on the majors. In each of the last two weeks they eased back day by day after the Wednesday lift, and on Tuesday just gone they were between 223.9 and 229.9.
