Yamanto Unleaded Sits 30 Cents Under Brassall as Ipswich Servos Head Opposite Ways
Right, so if you live anywhere around Ipswich, have a squiz at this before you fill up this arvo. As of 25th Sep 2026 2:09pm AEST, unleaded at the servos in Yamanto is sitting between 217.5 and 219.5 a litre. Head up the road to Brassall and you'll cop 247.9 for the same fuel. That's a 30 cent gap in the one town, and it's been getting wider all week.
What Yamanto is charging
Here's the thing, right. The Yamanto strip on the Cunningham Highway has turned into a bit of a price war. BP Yamanto is on 217.5 for unleaded, EG Ampol Yamanto is on 217.9, and both Liberty sites and the United are on 219.5. The Ampol Foodary is the odd one out at 224.4, but even that's well under the rest of town.
It's the direction that gets me. EG Ampol Yamanto was on 232.9 for unleaded last weekend. It's come down a bit every night since, to 229.9, then 223.9, then 219.9, and now 217.9. That's 15 cents off in under a week. Liberty's gone from 223.9 to 219.5 over the same stretch.
E10 prices tell the same story. BP and Liberty Yamanto are both on 215.5, EG Ampol is on 215.9 and United's on 217.5. If your car's happy on ethanol, that's the cheapest fuel I can find anywhere around Ipswich today.
Meanwhile, up the north side
While Yamanto's been coming down, the north side of town has gone the other way, which is a bit rich.
7 Eleven Brassall has gone from 242.9 last Saturday to 247.9 today. 7 Eleven North Ipswich was 239.9 on the 16th and it's on 247.9 now as well. The Shell Reddy Express at Booval has climbed from 239.9 to 245.9 in the same time, and Karalee is on 245.9 to 247.9 across its servos.
The biggest climb I spotted was 7 Eleven Raceview. It was 231.9 on the 16th and it's now 244.9. That's 13 cents in nine days, and Raceview's only about five minutes from Yamanto.
So the two ends of the same town are heading in opposite directions. Fair dinkum, I can't remember seeing a split this wide in a regional centre for a while.
What it means for your wallet
Fill a 60 litre tank at 247.9 in Brassall and you're paying about $148.70. Do it at 217.5 in Yamanto and it's about $130.50. That's roughly $18 back in your pocket, which is three flat whites or a decent chunk of a Friday night pub feed.
The middle of town is worth a look too. West Ipswich has Metro on 227.9, and Ampol Foodary Ripley and Pacific Petroleum at Churchill are both under 228. If Yamanto's out of your way, those are still 20 cents better than the dearest servos up north.
What I'd do
If you're driving through anyway, you'd be mad not to plan around this. Yamanto's on the way to a lot of places, so if you're heading out towards Boonah, Rosewood or up the Cunningham, fill up there instead of at your local.
Don't wait too long, either. Queensland servos lodge tomorrow's price the night before, and a strip sitting this far under the rest of town usually doesn't stay that way. When Yamanto moves back up, it tends to move quick.

The bigger picture
Across Queensland, diesel is averaging 289.6 a litre today, and down the road in Brisbane most unleaded is sitting around 240 to 242. So Yamanto isn't just cheap for Ipswich. It's among the cheapest unleaded in South East Queensland right now.
Keep an eye on whether the north side servos follow Yamanto down over the weekend, or whether Yamanto gets dragged back up to meet them. My money's on the second one, so I'd be filling up sooner rather than later.
Look, end of the day, a ten minute detour for $18 is a pretty good deal. Can't argue with that.
