Piara Waters and Forrestdale Sell Unleaded Under 200 as Perth's Saturday Median Falls to 219.9
Right, so if you're in Perth's south east this weekend, two servos 1.5 km apart in Piara Waters and Forrestdale are selling unleaded for under 200 cents a litre today, Saturday 7th Nov 2026. Until one of them dropped on Friday, no servo in Perth had been under 200 since 15th September.
These are the official FuelWatch prices lodged for Saturday, read at 8:15am AEDT (5:15am Perth time).
The two servos under 200
Vibe Piara Waters on Nicholson Road cut unleaded 12 cents overnight, from 211.7 on Friday to 199.7 today. Atlas Fuel Forrestdale, down the road, got there a day earlier. It dropped to 199.9 on Friday and has held it for Saturday.
Out of 459 Perth servos with a Saturday price, those two are the only ones under 200. Back on 15th September, four Omg Metro sites sat just under the line, and then prices climbed through the back half of the month.
How the neighbours compare
Here's unleaded within about 4 km of Vibe Piara Waters today:
* Vibe Piara Waters: 199.7
* Atlas Fuel Forrestdale: 199.9
* BP Piara Waters: 217.9
* 7 Eleven Harrisdale: 219.9
* Ampol Foodary Forrestdale: 219.9
* 7 Eleven Forrestdale: 219.9
Fair dinkum, the majors just around the corner are 18 to 20 cents dearer. On a 50 litre tank, 199.7 against 219.9 is $10.10 back in your pocket. That's a couple of coffees for a detour of a few minutes.
They skipped the Wednesday jump
Here's the thing, right. Perth runs a weekly cycle. Prices bottom out on Tuesday, most of the big brands jump on Wednesday, and then they ease back over the following days. Our guide to the best time to fill up has the full rundown.
Vibe Piara Waters and Atlas Forrestdale sat this week's jump out. On Wednesday 4th Nov, Vibe was on 215.3 and Atlas on 214.9, while BP Piara Waters went to 235.9 and 7 Eleven Harrisdale went to 239.9.
Averaged over the seven days from 1st to 7th Nov, it looks like this:
* Atlas Fuel Forrestdale: 210.7
* Vibe Piara Waters: 212.6
* BP Piara Waters: 225.9
* 7 Eleven Harrisdale: 226.5
So if you live round here, Vibe and Atlas ran about 13 to 16 cents a litre under BP and 7 Eleven across the whole week, Wednesday's jump included.
Perth as a whole is easing
Perth's median unleaded price today is 219.9, and Saturday medians have come down 20 cents in four weeks:
* Saturday 10th Oct: 239.9
* Saturday 17th Oct: 235.9
* Saturday 24th Oct: 229.8
* Saturday 31st Oct: 229.9
* Saturday 7th Nov: 219.9
Today's Saturday median matches the Tuesday low from 27th Oct (219.9) and sits just 0.4 cents above this week's Tuesday low of 219.5. The Wednesday peak was softer too, with the median topping out at 235.9 on 4th Nov against 249.9 on 7th and 14th Oct. You can follow it week to week on our price trends page.
Metro cut as well. Its five Perth sites at Wangara, Wanneroo, Midvale, Bassendean and Canning Vale all dropped from 222.2 to 209.9 for Saturday.
Worth the drive?
Don't drive across town for it. If you're in Harrisdale, Canning Vale or Armadale, though, or you're out that way anyway, it's an easy ten bucks.
Under FuelWatch rules, a Western Australia servo has to hold its price for 24 hours once it kicks in, so the Saturday price you see is the one you'll pay all day. Check live unleaded petrol prices before you head off.
Whether Tuesday comes in under this week's 219.5 is anyone's guess, and so is whether these two stay under 200 into next week. With two servos already under 200 on a Saturday, though, there's not much reason to hang on if your tank's low.
Look, end of the day, that's $10.10 back on a 50 litre tank for filling at Vibe instead of 7 Eleven Harrisdale. Can't argue with that.
