Rocklea E10 Eases 12 Cents as South East Queensland Unleaded Heads Lower
Right, so if you're running around the south side of Brisbane this week, you'll wanna hear this one. I went through the numbers at 8:08am AEST on 11th Sep 2026, and prices in a handful of Queensland suburbs have come off the boil. The standout is Rocklea, where E10 has eased 12.6 cents a litre.
Rocklea leads the way
Here's the thing, right. Rocklea isn't where most people head for a day out, but it's got six servos reporting E10, which makes it a proper little price battleground. The E10 average there has dropped from 213.9 to 201.3 cents a litre, a whisker off the $2 mark.
The other grades have come down with it. Regular unleaded across seven Rocklea servos has eased 8.1 cents to 203.3, diesel is down 8 cents to 248.9, and premium 98 has come back 10.3 cents to 227.1. When every grade on the board drops at once like that, it usually means the local servos are keeping a close eye on each other.
Fair dinkum, the maths is simple. Fill a 50 litre tank with E10 in Rocklea now instead of at the last round of prices and you're about $6.30 better off. That's a decent coffee and a bit of change for filling up at the right spot.
If your car's happy on ethanol, have a squiz at E10 prices near you, because E10 in Rocklea is sitting a couple of cents under regular unleaded right now. Check your owner's manual or the sticker inside the fuel flap first though. No point saving two bucks if it upsets the motor.
Yamanto and the Ipswich crowd
Out west at Yamanto, on the edge of Ipswich, unleaded has eased 7.3 cents to 208.1 across five servos, and premium 98 is down 7 cents to 232.9.
Even after that, regular unleaded in Yamanto is close to 5 cents a litre dearer than Rocklea. If you're heading up the Ipswich Motorway for work anyway, Rocklea is right on the way. On a 50 litre fill that's roughly $2.40 back in your pocket. It won't change your life, but do it every week and it adds up to a couple of cartons over the year.
Roma and the Toowoomba end of things
Head a good few hours west to Roma and it's a similar story. Unleaded is down 7.4 cents to 202.5 across five servos, cheaper than Yamanto and within cooee of Rocklea. Diesel across eight Roma servos has eased 8.7 cents to 255.2, which is good news for the farmers and anyone towing a van through the Maranoa.
Closer to Toowoomba, diesel in Charlton has come back 7.7 cents to 253.2, and Drayton has a servo selling diesel for as little as 241.5. If you're out that way, that's the one to aim for.
Where diesel sits
The Queensland diesel average hasn't budged from 260.3 cents a litre, so the better buys are down at suburb level.
Acacia Ridge has three servos all sitting on 243.5, nearly 17 cents under the state average. Beaudesert isn't far behind, with its cheapest at 243.9. If you're a tradie running a ute around the south side, check diesel prices before you pull into the first servo you see. Seventeen cents on an 80 litre tank is over $13, and that's a feed.
What I'd do this week
I'd keep an eye on how long these drops hang around. Brisbane prices tend to move in cycles, and a cheap run doesn't last forever. If you've got half a tank and you're near Rocklea, I wouldn't wait for the needle to hit empty. Top up while the price is decent.
