Alkimos Has WA's Cheapest Unleaded at 223.3, 14.6 Cents Under the 7 Eleven 140 Metres Away
The lowest unleaded price lodged anywhere in Western Australia for today, Monday 19th Oct 2026, is 223.3 cents a litre at Burk Alkimos on Longstaff Avenue. About 140 metres away, 7 Eleven Alkimos is charging 237.9, a gap of 14.6 cents.
Burk Alkimos has now held 223.3 for seven straight days, and it has been cheaper than that 7 Eleven on every one of the 35 days since 15th Sep.
These are the prices servos lodged with FuelWatch, WA's official fuel price scheme, yesterday afternoon, and they are fixed for 24 hours from 6am Perth time. Across 459 servos in greater Perth, leaving out Costco's members only sites, today's median is 232.9.
Seven days at one price while Perth swung 17 cents
Burk Alkimos cut 10 cents to 223.3 on Tuesday 13th Oct and has not moved since. Over the same week the Perth median rose from 235.9 to 249.9 at Wednesday's reset, then eased back to 232.9 today.
On Wednesday 14th Oct the gap between Burk and the 7 Eleven reached 26.6 cents. On a 60 litre fill, that was $15.96.
Burk cuts on Tuesday and lifts late in the week
Burk's nine Perth metro sites, including Malaga, Bassendean, Mount Lawley and Cannington, mostly change price on the same days. All nine cut on each of the last four Tuesdays (22nd Sep, 29th Sep, 6th Oct and 13th Oct), the day before the major brands reset. All nine then lifted on Saturday 26th Sep, Saturday 3rd Oct and Friday 9th Oct, when the majors were already easing. The 9th Oct rises ran from 10 to 17 cents.
That puts the network at its lowest just as the big brands jump. Measured against the median of the ten other servos within 5 km of Burk Alkimos, its discount on Wednesdays and Thursdays has ranged from 16.6 to 26.6 cents. Over the previous four weekends it shrank to between 4.6 and 7.1 cents.
This week Burk has broken that pattern. None of its nine metro sites has lifted since the 13th Oct cut, so the Alkimos discount has stayed wider than usual: 12.6 cents on Saturday, 11.6 on Sunday and 8.6 today. Across the network, today's prices run from 223.3 at Alkimos to 231.3 at West Swan.

What this means for your next fill
Today, Burk Alkimos saves 14.6 cents a litre over the 7 Eleven 140 metres away, or $8.76 on a 60 litre tank. If you prefer a major brand, the Ampol branded sites and Caltex Merriwa are on 229.9.
Wednesday and Thursday are when the independents save you the most. On each of the last four Wednesdays the Perth median jumped between 12 and 20 cents, and no Burk metro site raised its price on any of them.
Tuesday has been the low point of each of the last four weekly cycles, with Perth medians of 228.7, 225.9, 229.9 and 235.9. FuelWatch publishes tomorrow's prices at 2:30pm Perth time, so you can check before you drive, and the best time to fill up guide explains the weekly cycle.
Petrolmate's unleaded petrol prices page and price trends tool will show whether Burk lifts later this week, as it did after each of its previous three Tuesday cuts.
The numbers are clear: in Alkimos, a 140 metre walk has been worth up to 26.6 cents a litre, and Burk has been on the cheaper side of it for five weeks running.
