Five Arundel and Helensvale Servos Hold Unleaded at 228.9 as Gold Coast 7 Elevens Cut to 235.9

Right, so the big mover on the Gold Coast overnight was 7 Eleven. All 28 of its Gold Coast servos lodged 235.9 for unleaded last night, down 4 cents from the 239.9 they were on yesterday morning. That pulled the median across the 106 Gold Coast servos with a current price from 239.9 to 235.9, which leaves the coast 2 cents under Brisbane on 237.9.

Here's the thing, right. Even after the cut, 7 Eleven still isn't the cheapest on the coast. Five servos around Arundel and Helensvale are sitting 7 cents under it on 228.9.

These are the prices lodged with Queensland's official fuel price reporting scheme as at 7:00am AEST on 20th Oct 2026.

The five on 228.9

All five are in the northern suburbs: Hope Energy Arundel at 440 Brisbane Rd, Hope Energy Biggera Waters at 241 Brisbane Rd, United Arundel on Marble Arch Place, Liberty Helensvale North on Discovery Drive and EG Ampol Helensvale on Millaroo Drive. Nothing else on the Gold Coast is under 233.5 for unleaded petrol.

Fair dinkum, these five move as a pack. They've had the same price as each other nearly every morning since at least 11 Sep, when all five were on 209.5, and when one moves the others usually land on the same number within a day. They went to 225.5 on 29 Sep, 231.5 on 1 Oct and 233.5 on 9 Oct, then came back to 229.3 on the 11th and 228.9 from the 12th. United Arundel and Hope Energy Biggera Waters lodged their 228.9 on 11 and 12 Oct and haven't touched it since.

The odd one out is EG Ampol Helensvale, a major brand pricing in step with four independents. The other EG Ampol sites on the coast run from 235.9 at Upper Coomera to 240.9 at Runaway Bay and Robina. The Runaway Bay one is about 7 kilometres away and 12 cents dearer under the same sign.

7 Eleven's Wednesday lift

For five weeks running, 7 Eleven's Gold Coast servos have been dearer on Wednesday morning than they were on Tuesday morning:

* 16 Sep: 208.9 to 233.9, up 25 cents

* 23 Sep: 229.9 to 241.9, up 12

* 30 Sep: 225.9 to 249.9, up 24

* 7 Oct: 229.9 to 249.9, up 20

* 14 Oct: 235.9 to 253.9, up 18

The last three lifts were all lodged on the Tuesday night, a day after a Monday night cut, and last night's cut fits the same pattern. Tuesday has been 7 Eleven's cheapest morning of the week, or equal cheapest, in each of the last four weeks, and that Tuesday price has been creeping up: 225.9, then 229.9, then 235.9 last week and again today.

None of that guarantees a lift tonight, but if a 7 Eleven is your local, you'd be mad not to fill today rather than tomorrow. Our best time to fill up guide has more on cycles like this.

The five on 228.9 don't ride that cycle at all. When 7 Eleven went to 253.9 on 14 Oct they stayed put, which left a 25 cent gap that morning.

Where it's dearest

The dearest servos on the coast are four Shell Reddy Express sites on 243.9: Tugun and Miami down south, plus Bundall and Benowa Village. That's 15 cents over the northern five, or $9 on a 60 litre tank, which is two coffees, near enough. Caltex in Tugun and Miami is a cent cheaper on 242.9.

Across its 17 Gold Coast sites, Shell Reddy Express runs from 234.9 at Pimpama up to 243.9 at those four, so there's 9 cents between servos under the one sign.

E10 is cheaper again

If your car takes E10, the same five have it at 224.9, the lowest E10 on the coast. That's 9 cents under both the Gold Coast E10 median and 7 Eleven's 233.9, or $5.40 back on 60 litres.

Where to fill

If you're around Arundel, Helensvale, Biggera Waters or Labrador, the five are 7 cents under this morning's 7 Eleven price and 15 under the dearest servos on the coast. On a 60 litre fill that's $4.20 and $9.00, and you can plug your own numbers into our savings calculator.

Further south, if a 7 Eleven's the handy one, I'd top up there before tonight. Tuesday has been the low point of their week lately, and today that's 235.9.

Look, end of the day, that's $4.20 back on a tank for picking one of the five over a 7 Eleven. Can't argue with that.
